Mobile home community gives back to local Jacksonville-area charities
While many people are focused on the upcoming shopping opportunities of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Hillside Bayou Mobile Home Park would like to take a moment to remember the true meaning of the holiday season. Regardless of religion, winter holidays are a time to gather with family and friends to give thanks for what we have and celebrate spiritual traditions. For some, a roof over their head or simple meal on the table would mean more than any material item purchased.
For this reason, Hillside Bayou will be donating to local charities to combat homelessness and hunger on #GivingTuesday. Giving Tuesday is a fast growing “cyber holiday” dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
This #GivingTuesday Hillside Bayou Mobile Home Park has selected the Heart of Arkansas United Way to be their main recipient of a one-time donation. Residents of the Jacksonville mobile home community are encouraged to suggest additional local non-profit organizations to receive secondary donations on Giving Tuesday.
